2019 Stayin' Alive

Merlot is back and stayin' alive! We LOVE the variety and made ours reminiscent of the early California Merlots that really should never have gone out of style. These premier grapes come from an old planting on one acre at 1600' elevation in the Templeton Gap, leading to a structurally beautiful wine with depth. On the nose, vibrant red plum, cooling eucalyptus, with intriguing tobacco leaf and cedar. Rainier cherry, chocolate truffles, bay leaf and Tahitian vanilla dance on the palate.
