Happy Canyon lies in the southeastern corner of the Santa Ynez Valley which enjoys warmer afternoon temperatures and cooler evenings from the marine air. This unique microclimate encourages an extended growing season and therefore full maturation which gives the wines balance, rich flavors with excellent structure, and acidity. Our Merlot has aromas of red currants, dried cranberries and pomegranate, while blueberries, eucalyptus and a hint of sandalwood round out the palate. Firm tannins soften as the wine lingers long after the last sip. Will age well for the next 5-7 years.
